Level 2 Award in The Control
of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
The Level 2 Award in the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) is aimed at those learners who work in an environment where coming into contact with hazardous substances is likely. This includes workplaces in areas such as manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities and office environments.
It gives learners the knowledge and skills to recognise the risks associated with hazardous substances and how to control them.

Duration and fees:
This course lasts 1 days, and costs £250 + VAT per person.
Employees responsible for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) at work, as well as employees who use hazardous substances in manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities and offices.
The course will be presented in a varied and interesting way and will include:

Definition and types of substances hazardous to health in the workplace.

Health effects of hazardous substances and their causes.

COSHH assessments and control options.

Responsibilities imposed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002.
Certification:
Satisfactory completion of the course will be recognised by the award of a certificate.
Examination:
The course will be assessed by a 30 minute multi-choice examination.
All successful candidates will receive the nationally recognised Level 2 Award in COSHH.
