Fees are based on delegates attending one of our open courses at various venues throughout the UK. If you have four or more people requiring training, you might find it more cost effective for us to deliver the training in-house.

Implementing ISO 14001
This course is designed for people responsible for implementing and / or maintaining an Environmental Management System in line with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015. The course takes into account the general guidelines on implementation as detailed in ISO 14004:2016.

Environmental
Awareness
The first step in working towards ISO14001 is to raise awareness within your business. Many of your staff will already lean towards being environmentally responsible at home and it is stimulating and rewarding to apply best practices while at work.
We offer a training session that is tailored to the particular business and aimed at the appropriate level from operatives through to senior management.
Course Details

A quick quiz is held at the beginning and later staff mark their own paper against model answers. The questions and answers stimulate interest and set the scene.

For all staff we cover the general topics of saving energy and minimising waste.
Beneifts
We talk about your company's legal duties to segregate waste and dispose of it properly and invite audience participation to discuss how this can be improved in their area.

For particular groups we may then explore more technical issues and discuss opportunities for environmental improvements in their areas of work.
An A5 booklet is prepared specifically for the business, making it relevant to your processes and incorporating your logo. Clients with an intranet can have the booklet in electronic form for display on screen.
ISO 14001 Internal Environmental Training
This course is designed for people who need to be trained to carry out environmental audits within their own company to a standard which meets the requirements of ISO14001:2015.
The course takes into account the requirements of ISO19011:2011 "Guidelines for quality and / or environmental management systems auditing".
The course is either run as a general training session for people from different companies, or it can be designed as an in-house course, tailored to the specific needs of the client. The course lasts 1 day.

Learning Outcomes
The course is delivered via a combination of methods including interactive discussions and practical exercises.

Some of the topics covered are supported by practical exercises. These can either be carried out in the training room using specially prepared teaching material, or for in-house courses audits of the client's own operations can be arranged.
By the end of the course delegates will be:

IEMA Foundation Course in Environmental Auditing
Penarth Management is an IEMA Approved Training Provider for this course under licence from AFNOR Group.
Climate change and other environmental concerns have raised the awareness of stakeholders in many organisations. Consequently, many organisations need to have access to trained internal auditors who can carry out a variety of audits to give management confidence that environmental concerns and legal compliance issues are being properly addressed by the business.
This course has been designed to train environmental auditors to take part in audits, providing guidance and assurance to management. However, it is also popular with other delegates who wish to develop a clear understanding of environmental management applied to modern
business.
Course Details
Learning Outcomes
The course comprises a series of illustrated lectures which provide understanding of environmental management principles and audits including EMS audits. These are supported by case studies and workshops which develop auditor skills.
The course contents satisfy requirements of the international Standard for environmental audit and auditor qualification ISO19011 (which supersedes ISO14010-14012).
Successful completion of the IEMA Foundation Course in Environmental Auditing will equip delegates with the basic knowledge necessary to participate effectively in environmental audits and other related activities. Specifically delegates will gain knowledge and understanding of:
